Man remanded over Regent St murder

Quincy Messiah

A Georgetown man was yesterday remanded to prison after being charged with the murder of Andrew McGowan.

Quincy Messiah appeared before Chief Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, where he was not required to plead to the indictable charge.

The charge alleges that he murdered McGowan on October 28, 2026, at Regent Street, Georgetown.

The prosecutor told the court that statements would be prepared and ready for disclosure within two weeks.

Magistrate Latchman remanded Messiah and adjourned the matter to November 18.
