These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Kiskadee Watch, including our website, reader accounts, newsletters, and comments.

1. About Kiskadee Watch
Kiskadee Watch is a digital news publication based in Guyana. We publish news, opinion, analysis, letters, videos, newsletters, and related editorial content.

2. Reader Accounts
You may create a reader account to manage support, receive newsletters, save articles, comment where permitted and access account features.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You must provide accurate information and must not use another person’s account without permission.
We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the site, violate these Terms, attempt fraud, or interfere with other readers’ use of the website.
3. Reader Support
Kiskadee Watch offers reader support options, including one-time support, monthly support, and annual support.
Support payments help fund our journalism and reader services. Support does not constitute a charitable donation and should not be treated as tax deductible unless your own adviser tells you otherwise.
Support benefits may include, depending on your account status:
- Ad-free reading on your devices.
- Fewer support prompts while your account is active.
- The ability to save articles to your account.
- The ability to comment on articles and join reader discussions.
- Other supporter-only features we may add over time.
We may change supporter benefits from time to time.
4. Payments
Payments may be made using the methods available at checkout, which may include debit and credit cards, PayPal, MMG (Mobile Money Guyana), and local electronic bank transfers.
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal payments are processed through Whop Inc. When you pay by card or PayPal, Whop may act as the payment processor or merchant of record, and Whop’s buyer terms may also apply.
MMG and electronic bank transfer payments are shown in Guyanese dollars using our current exchange rate. If MMG payment is successful, your account will be activated automatically. If you pay by bank transfer, your account is activated after we receive and verify the transfer. Bank transfer instructions will be emailed to you after checkout.
Monthly or annual support paid through Whop may renew automatically unless cancelled. MMG and electronic bank transfer payments do not renew your support automatically.
5. Cancellations and Changes
You may cancel recurring support at any time from your account page, where available, or by contacting us.
For recurring Whop payments, cancellation usually takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You may also be able to update your payment method or change your support level through your account.
Manual support methods, such as MMG and bank transfer, do not automatically renew. If you do not renew manually, your active support benefits may end when your support period expires.
6. Refunds
Support payments are generally voluntary contributions toward the operation of Kiskadee Watch.
Refund requests may be reviewed case by case. We may refuse refunds where support benefits have already been used, where a request appears fraudulent or abusive, or where the payment processor’s rules do not allow a refund.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under applicable law.
7. Newsletters and Emails
You may subscribe to the Morning Newsletter and other emails we offer. You can manage newsletter preferences from your account or unsubscribe using the link in our emails.
Some emails are service emails tied to your account, payments, receipts, support status, password resets, security, or account administration. These are not marketing emails and may still be sent when needed.
8. Comments and Reader Contributions
Readers may be allowed to comment on articles. Comments must be respectful, lawful, and relevant.
You must not post threats, harassment, hate speech, spam, impersonation, defamatory material, private personal information, or content that infringes another person’s rights.
We may moderate, edit, remove, or decline comments at our discretion. We may also restrict commenting access for accounts that violate our rules.
By posting a comment or other reader contribution, you grant Kiskadee Watch permission to display, store, edit for formatting, and distribute that contribution on our website and related services.
9. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all articles, images, logos, design, graphics, videos, newsletters, and other content on Kiskadee Watch are owned by or licensed to Kiskadee Watch.
You may read, share links to, and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not copy, republish, scrape, sell, or redistribute our content without permission, except where allowed by law.
10. Editorial Content
Our journalism is provided for general information and public-interest reporting. It is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
We work to publish accurate information, but we do not guarantee that all content will be complete, current, or error-free at all times. We may update or correct content when appropriate.
