The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) last night responded to a fire at a sawmill located at De Kinderen, West Coast Demerara.
Water Carriers #21 and #29, along with their respective crews from the Leonora and Parika Fire Stations, were dispatched to the scene, a release from the GFS said.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
