Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Susan Rodrigues, yesterday joined the Chairman of Banks DIH Holdings Inc., Clifford Reis and others for the official opening of Demico Qik Serv’s newest location in Bartica.
A release from the Ministry said that Rodrigues described the investment as a strong vote of confidence in Bartica’s continued growth and Guyana’s expanding economy.
In her remarks, Rodrigues highlighted the rich history of Banks DIH and its more than a century of service to Guyana, describing the company as a symbol of local entrepreneurship, innovation and resilience. She commended the company for its continued investment in communities.
With four Demico Qik Serv locations in Georgetown, one in Berbice, and now its newest branch in Bartica, the Minister said the company’s expansion demonstrates confidence in Guyana’s economic potential while creating employment opportunities.
Also in attendance were the Mayor of Bartica, Anthony Murray, and the Regional Vice Chairman of Region Seven, Alden Marslowe.
