Emergency works for Sambach Koker, Vive-La-Force

Immediate emergency works are set to commence at the Sambach Koker, Vive-La-Force, West Bank Demerara, following concerns over the deteriorating condition of the structure, the Ministry of Public Works said.

Following a visit to the koker today, Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, Madanlall Ramraj, instructed that temporary repairs be undertaken immediately to address the deterioration, while plans are advanced for a more permanent solution.

The Minister was accompanied by engineers from the Ministry of Public Works and the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority, who conducted an examination of the structure to determine the necessary interventions.
