Balram Persaud, called ‘Pakakie’ and ‘Akash’, 24, of Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara, was yesterday charged with manslaughter.
Persaud appeared before Magistrate Alisha George at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court where the indictable charge was read to him. He was not required to plead and was remanded to prison, a release from the police said.
The matter was adjourned to July 23, 2026.
