Trinidad: State retains two KCs for Hadeed matter

The State has retained two eminent King’s Counsel to strengthen its legal team in the matter involving businessman Dominic Hadeed and his wife, Genevieve Hadeed, according to the Trinidad Express.

Legal Notices Nos. 492 and 493, published in the Gazette on June 30, formally authorise Sir James Raymond Eadie KC and Robert Stephen Strang KC to be admitted to practise law in Trinidad and Tobago specifically for the matter CV2026-02618 – Dominic Hadeed & Genevieve Hadeed v The Commissioner of Police.

The Trinidad Express said that the appointments were made by Attorney General John Jeremie under Section 15A of the Legal Profession Act, following consultation with the Chief Justice.

The Hadeeds have been held in relation to an alleged plot to murder government officials.
