Bevon Griffith, also called ‘Spooney,’ was on Friday found not guilty of the charge of murder in furtherance of a robbery in connection with the 2023 killing of Trion Parks.
The verdict was returned by a 12-member jury following the conclusion of the trial before Justice Sandil Kissoon at the High Court in Demerara.
Griffith had denied the allegation that on November 18, 2023, he murdered Parks at Eccles during the commission of a robbery.
The prosecution’s case was presented by attorneys Christopher Belfield, Robina Christmas and Rodley Mathoo.
Following deliberations, the 12-member jury returned a verdict of not guilty, resulting in Griffith’s acquittal and discharge by the court.
