Szeplaki wins NTFGL Tour Two Round Four at Lusignan

The respective winners of Round Four of the National Top Flight Golf League’s second tour.

Joseph Szeplaki captured Round Four of the National Top Flight Golf League’s second tour on Sunday at the Lusignan Golf Club, strengthening his position in the race for the overall title.

Szeplaki recorded a net score of 72 to secure first place and the maximum eight league points. He was declared the winner through the competition’s tiebreak system, while Mike Mangal finished second with a net 73.

The round attracted 20 golfers, who competed under warm and sunny conditions while seeking points towards the Tour Two standings.

The league round was held as part of the Lusignan Golf Club’s weekly competition, with each player’s performance determining the number of league points earned.

Maxim “Danny” Mangra produced the best front-nine performance with a net 34, earning two league points. Grounds Superintendent Brian Hackett recorded the best score on the back nine with a net 32 and also collected two points.

Mangra also won the Nearest-to-the-Pin prize, while Anand Persaud claimed the Longest Drive award.

Despite persistent rainfall during the rainy season, the course was presented in excellent condition. Hackett and the club’s maintenance staff worked to restore the fairways and greens, allowing the golfers to compete without difficulty.

Persaud remains at the top of the Tour Two standings with 18 points, one point ahead of Mangra. Szeplaki’s Round Four victory moved him into third position with 11 points.

The competition will continue with Round Five as the golfers pursue more points and attempt to strengthen their positions in the race for the Tour Two title.
