Chase target another win as Republic Bank league returns on Sunday

Chase Academic Foundation will look to protect their goal-difference advantage in the Republic Bank Schools Football League

Chase Academic Foundation will look to protect their goal-difference advantage in the Republic Bank Schools Football League when they face New Amsterdam Secondary at 12:30 hrs on Sunday, November 1, at the Ministry of Education Ground.

Chase enter the third round with four points from two matches, sharing that total with Santa Rosa Secondary and West Ruimveldt Secondary. Their eight goals scored and one conceded give them a plus-seven goal difference, narrowly ahead of Santa Rosa’s plus six.

All three teams have started with one victory and one draw, setting up another round in which any dropped points could change the order at the top.

Chase’s opponents, New Amsterdam, are seeking their first victory after taking one point from a draw and a defeat. They have scored four goals and conceded five for a goal difference of minus one.

The four-match programme begins at 11:00 hrs with Three Miles Secondary facing St Joseph High in a contest between two teams yet to win.

Three Miles remain unbeaten after drawing both opening matches. They have two points, with four goals scored and four conceded, and will be aiming to secure a victory that would move them closer to the early leaders.

St Joseph have endured a difficult start, losing twice without scoring and conceding seven goals. Their meeting with Three Miles provides an opportunity to claim their first points and improve a goal difference of minus seven.

Attention will then turn to Santa Rosa’s meeting with Annandale Secondary at 14:00 hrs.

Santa Rosa have combined seven goals with just one conceded to collect four points. Annandale are only one point behind, having won once and lost once, and could move above their opponents with a victory.

Annandale have scored three goals and conceded seven, leaving them with a minus-four goal difference ahead of the encounter.

West Ruimveldt and Charlestown Secondary will close the day’s action at 15:30 hrs, with another one-point gap separating the opponents.

West Ruimveldt have four points and a plus-one goal difference after scoring three goals and conceding two. Charlestown have three points from one win and one defeat, scoring once and conceding three times for a goal difference of minus two.
