Nineteen persons have completed the Ministry of Health’s Medex Training Programme and are expected to help strengthen primary healthcare delivery, particularly in rural, hinterland and underserved communities.

Health Minister Dr Frank Anthony attended the graduation ceremony at Windjammer International Cuisine and Comfort Inn, according to a ministry release.

The programme equips participants with the knowledge and clinical skills to deliver primary healthcare, including disease prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and community-based care.

The ministry said the training forms part of its efforts to expand the healthcare workforce and improve access to services across the country.

It urged the graduates to demonstrate professionalism, compassion and dedication in their work.
