Construction has begun on a new bridge leading to the Joint Services Scheme in Lamaha Springs, with reopening expected after concrete pouring and a one-week curing period.
According to a Ministry of Public Works release, concrete pouring is scheduled for Monday, October 26. The bridge is expected to reopen to traffic immediately after the curing process.
The new structure will measure 32 feet long and 24 feet wide, replacing the old aqua panel bridge that served the community.
Senior Engineer and Head of Bridges, Mr Parkinson, recently inspected the structural works underway.
The ministry thanked residents and commuters for their patience and cooperation during construction.
