Letters To The Editor

Gov’t should focus more on the people and not Mohamed

Dear Editor,

Guyanese at home and abroad must be disgusted by the constant detention of opposition leader, young Azruddin Mohamed. To date I have lost count of how many times he has been arrested by the government.

Any serious government/politician should also be frustrated, why because Guyana is not moving forward more or less profiting from the constant arrest of the opposition leader. I think our so called leaders need to focus on Guyana which of course is its people and stop focusing on Mohamed.

I have never seen an opposition leader being tossed and thrown around like a football like Mohamed and people this is no joke. The so called leaders of the day need to centre their attention on improving the lives of their citizens and leave Mohamed to focus on his position as opposition leader.

I am calling on the government to stop focusing on Mohamed and start focusing on its citizens.

Your sincerely,

Yannason Duncan
