The Guyana Police Force yesterday released the names of 15 policemen who have been charged with crimes over the last six months. It included the five who faced court yesterday for the murder of Gavin Douglas in the Vreed-en-Hoop Police Station.

Offence: Discharging a loaded firearm with intent to cause serious injury; attempted murder also reported.
2. Inspector Abasola Flatts
Date: June 18, 2026
Offence: Unlawful transfer of ammunition.
3. Corporal Shareef Mohamed
Date of incident: June 28, 2026
Offences proposed: Two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, failure to stop after an accident, failure to render assistance, operating an uncertified motor vehicle, and failure to report an accident.
4. Constable Randy Thomas
Date: June 29, 2026
Offence: Murder of Dailen Paneque Gomes.
5. Sergeant Orlanzo Webster
Date: July 14, 2026
Offence: Assault causing actual bodily harm.
6. Sergeant Lionel Daniels
Date: September 28, 2026
Offence: Simple larceny of 15 pennyweights of raw gold.
