The Saint Lucia Kings have strengthened their squad by recruiting Guyanese wicketkeeper-batsman Kemol Savory for the remainder of the 2026 Caribbean Premier League season.
Savory has been called in to replace Ackeem Auguste, whose campaign ended after he was ruled out on medical grounds.
The move gives the Kings greater flexibility in their team selection, with Savory capable of contributing with the bat and behind the stumps. His experience could prove valuable as the franchise pushes through the remaining stages of the tournament.
In announcing the addition on September 4, the Kings welcomed Savory to the franchise and said they were eager to see what he could contribute on and off the field.
Savory will now link up with the squad and could be considered for selection during the Kings’ upcoming fixtures.
The franchise also wished Auguste a successful recovery and said it looked forward to seeing the young player return to competition when he is fully fit.
