National junior girls’ and women’s champion Jasmine Billingy will compete in three events at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games after officially securing qualification through the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Americas process.
The talented Guyanese player has earned a place in the women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles competitions, which will be contested from August 2-8 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Billingy’s qualification adds another major achievement to her developing career. The St Stanislaus College student is a multiple Caribbean title winner and has established herself as one of Guyana’s brightest young table tennis prospects.
Her progress has been supported by disciplined training and consistent performances at national and international competitions.
Billingy will be part of a youthful Guyanese table tennis team preparing to face the leading players from Central America and the Caribbean. Her selection also represents an important step in the national programme’s transition towards a new generation of athletes.
The CAC Games will run from July 24 to August 8, with the table tennis programme taking place during the final week of competition.
The Guyana Table Tennis Association extended congratulations to Billingy and expressed its support as she prepares to compete on one of the region’s major sporting stages.
