Caleb Bastian and Aiyan Persaud produced impressive all-round contributions as the DCB Hawks swept aside the DCB Crows by 204 runs in the Demerara Cricket Board Developmental Under-13 competition.
The Hawks dominated after choosing to bat, racing to 261 for six from 40 overs before a disciplined bowling effort bundled out the Crows for 57 in 22 overs.
Bastian top-scored with 59, decorated with eight fours, while Persaud struck 52. Xavier Dodson strengthened the innings with 32, hitting six boundaries.
The Crows used several bowlers in their effort to contain the Hawks, but Kadir returned the best figures with two for eight.
Faced with a required scoring rate of more than six runs per over, the Crows never developed a meaningful partnership. Kyle Dodson led their batting with eight runs as wickets fell regularly.
Persaud, Ori and Latif shared six wickets equally, taking two apiece. Wills, Bastian and Kissoon added one wicket each to seal a convincing victory for the Hawks.
