Diamond Secondary students get small business monetary awards

Young entrepreneurs at Diamond Secondary School are putting their ideas into action, according to a release from the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce.

The Small Business Bureau presented monetary awards to five Diamond Secondary School students whose business plans were selected under the Youth Entrepreneurship Programme (YEP) 2026, the release said.

“By bringing entrepreneurship into the learning experience, the Government of Guyana, through the Small Business Bureau and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, is helping students build confidence, develop business skills and explore the possibilities of enterprise”, the release added.
