Joint Services Scheme bridge closed

The Ministry of Public Works today informed the general public of the closure of the bridge entering the Joint Services Scheme, North Ruimveldt.

This closure, it said,  is necessary to facilitate the reconstruction of the damaged, aged steel structure. The closure is expected to be for a period of 4 weeks.

The contract is being executed by Safraz Construction Services and Supplies at a cost of $31,516,000.

The general public is asked to use the Guyhoc Park entrance for this period.

The ministry says it regrets any inconvenience caused.

For further information it said that Project Engineer Mr. Parkinson could be contacted on 684-9897.
