Minister of Housing, Collin Croal, has announced that a lot identification exercise will begin on November 12, 2026, for persons allocated land in the South Extension housing development, Bartica Region Seven.
In a release yesterday, he explained that CH&PA surveyors will contact allottees in batches to facilitate the exercise, ensuring each beneficiary is taken to their lot and shown the boundaries.
All persons allotted lands within the development are expected to be able to access their lots from mid-November.
Providing an update on the nearby Tract Bar housing development, Croal said that infrastructure works are approximately 60 per cent complete.
He stated that while the current stage of development does not yet permit lot identification, contractors are advancing the remaining works, intending to facilitate access for allottees by November 30th 2026.
Contractors are currently working in two lots to complete concrete drainage, pipe and road networks.
Meanwhile, Croal said that the Ministry will be engaging with truck operators and the Council in the coming week to resolve an issue related to the most suitable route for trucks accessing the quarry. Currently, trucks are using the scheme to travel to and from the quarry, which is not the best option given the works being undertaken there, the release said.
