Seven no longer employed by GGMC, no reason given

The Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC) has announced that seven men are no longer employed with the agency and are not authorised to conduct or transact business on its behalf.

The Commission issued separate public notices for Gopaul Ramatulla, Sherall Goodings, Alanzo Seymour, Alvin Graham, Nasrudeen Ally, Nishal Ramjas and Ryon Ferrell on its Facebook page.

Each notice stated that the individual was no longer employed by the GGMC and was not authorised to conduct or transact any business on behalf of the agency. However, the notices did not indicate when the men left the Commission, the circumstances surrounding their departures or whether the announcements were connected.

Members of the public were advised that if they had any concerns or required further information they could contact the GGMC.

Kiskadee Watch attempted to contact the GGMC for comment yesterday on the notices but was unsuccessful.

The announcements attracted reactions from social media users, with one commenting, “Y’all cleaning house,” while another remarked, “Christmas cleaning.”

Another user questioned whether the men had all resigned at the same time, asking, “Wow all…of these gentlemen resigned at the same time?”
