Botanical Gardens to close temporarily from October 12

The Botanical Gardens will be temporarily closed to visitors from October 12 to facilitate construction works, the Protected Areas Commission (PAC) announced yesterday.

In a notice, the commission said the closure was necessary to ensure the safety of visitors, staff and workers as modernisation works continue.

No reopening date was given. The PAC said further information would be provided as the works progress.

The commission apologised for the inconvenience and thanked the public for its patience and understanding.
