Yesterday, Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) officers, acting on information, conducted an operation at a residence in the Lodge area, Georgetown where they discovered a shotgun.
A CANU release said that upon arrival at the location, acting
on actionable intelligence, the officers conducted a thorough search of the premises, which comprised three separate houses.
During the search, officers discovered a shotgun concealed between two concrete structures on the property. The recovered weapon was seized and handed over to the Guyana Police Force for further ballistic testing and forensic analysis.
