The family of Rawle Frank, a crew member aboard the ill-fated MV Barima, is demanding answers as they continue to wait for information on his whereabouts following the tragedy.
Speaking with Kiskadee Watch, relatives said Rawle, a father of one, had worked as a crew member on the vessel for approximately 10 years and was regarded as an excellent swimmer. They said his disappearance has left them struggling to understand what happened.
According to the family, Rawle had often raised concerns about the vessel, telling them it regularly experienced problems. They added that this was supposed to be his final trip working aboard the MV Barima before moving on from the job.
His father, Royston Frank, has been in Charity since Monday, hoping for news about his son. Family members said he has remained in contact with relatives throughout the ordeal but has received no updates despite being close to the centre of the search and recovery efforts.
The family said they have been left with more questions than answers and are frustrated by what they describe as a lack of communication from the authorities.
As the search continues, the Franks are appealing for answers and accountability while holding on to hope that they will finally learn what became of Rawle, one of the crew members caught up in the MV Barima tragedy.
