Guyana to host CARIFESTA next year

CARICOMHeads of Government have accepted the offer from Guyana to host CARIFESTA 2027 and the offer from Antigua and Barbuda to host CARIFESTA 2029.

This is according to a communique on Friday from the CARICOM Secretariat following the meeting of the Heads in St Lucia.

Heads of Government also accepted the offer from Guyana to host the CARIFTA Games in 2027 and the offer from Barbados to host the CARIFTA Games in 2028.

Guyana hosted the very first CARIFESTA from August 25 to September 15, 1972. It also hosted CARIFESTA X in August 2008.
