Annai Secondary successfully defended their Blue Water Shipping Girls U15 National Championship title after defeating Marian Academy 2-1 in the final at the GFF National Training Centre, Providence yesterday.
The defending champions once again showed their quality on the national stage, with Thais Charles and Sherine Ewell scoring the goals that helped Annai secure the win and retain their place at the top of the competition.
Annai entered the final after a strong semi-final performance against President’s College, where they recorded a 3-0 victory to continue their title defence. That result set up a meeting with Marian Academy, who had earlier edged Waramuri Secondary 1-0 in the other semi-final to book their spot in the championship match.
The final proved to be a tighter contest, with Marian Academy putting up a stronger challenge. However, Annai found the goals they needed and held on to complete another successful campaign.
