Persaud earns two podium finishes at Carlton Wheelers road race

Robin Persaud delivered one of the standout performances at Sunday’s AC Marriott/Carlton Wheelers Cycling Club Road Race, winning the Masters 35-and-over category and placing second in the Open event.

Persaud, a member of the host club, secured the Masters victory ahead of Segun Hubbard and Paul Choo-Wee-Nam. In the Open race, he finished behind champion Christopher Griffith, while Andre Greene claimed third place.

Ajani Cutting secured fourth in the Open category, followed by Aaron Newton in fifth and Alexander Leung in sixth.

Leung later claimed the Junior title, finishing ahead of Kevin Stephen.

Tandeia Noel emerged as the winner of the Female category, with Alicia Benjamin taking second place.

In the Masters 50-and-over division, Mark Spencer secured the top position ahead of Talim Shaw and Ray Harlequin.

Kevin Edwards led the Category Four finishers, while Leon Koulen and Collis Williams placed second and third, respectively.
