The Guyana Football Federation Elite League will continue with four matches at the National Training Centre this weekend, featuring several of the country’s leading clubs across two nights of action.
Fruta Conquerors FC and Anns Grove United FC will open the weekend programme on Saturday, September 12, at 18:30 hrs. The night’s second fixture will see Camptown FC face Western Tigers FC at 21:00 hrs.
Sunday’s matches will feature two intriguing contests, beginning with GDF FC against Den Amstel FC at 18:30 hrs.
The spotlight will then fall on reigning champions Slingerz FC, who will meet Santos FC in Sunday’s feature encounter at 21:00 hrs.
Slingerz will be looking to reinforce their championship credentials as they continue their title defence. Santos, however, will have an opportunity to test themselves against the league’s reigning champions and make an early statement in the competition.
The earlier Sunday fixture also promises interest, with GDF and Den Amstel both seeking to build momentum. Twenty-four hours earlier, Fruta Conquerors, Anns Grove, Camptown and Western Tigers will have their chance to collect important points.
All four matches will be played at the National Training Centre as Season Eight of the Elite League continues.
