Woman found dead at Tuschen with suspected stab wounds

Sonia Wilson

A 45-year-old mother of one was found dead at her home in Phase One, Tuschen Housing Scheme yesterday afternoon, with reports suggesting that she may have sustained stab wounds.

The deceased has been identified as Sonia Wilson, who reportedly worked as a cook at an interior mining camp.

Wilson’s body was discovered on the veranda of her residence at around 3:00 p.m. Relatives and residents reportedly found her lying motionless and alerted the authorities.

Residents told Kiskadee Watch  Wilson was last seen and spoken to at about 10:00 a.m.

Kiskadee Watch understands that a man who sells household items had reportedly visited Wilson’s home to follow up on payment for items she had allegedly taken. He reportedly discovered Wilson on the veranda and alerted persons in the area.

Police subsequently arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

The circumstances leading to Wilson’s death remain unclear.
