GTA says two tour businesses unlicensed

The Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) yesterday advised the public that Magic City Tours & Transportation Services and Guyana Tours & Transportation Services are not licensed tour-operating businesses.

In a notice posted on its Facebook page, the authority urged persons to book tours only with operators licensed by the GTA to ensure they are using authorised tourism service providers.

The notice did not state whether either business had applied for a licence or whether any enforcement action was being taken.

The GTA said its current list of licensed operators could be found on its Facebook page under the album “2026 – Licensed Tour Operators”.

Businesses seeking a licence were directed to the authority’s online licensing portal at https://license.guyanatourism.com/.

Persons seeking guidance or wishing to verify an operator’s licensing status can contact the GTA’s Licensing and Regulation Department by telephone or WhatsApp on 743-0612 or 681-8494, or email [email protected] or [email protected].
