Mikhail Alexandrovich Kokurin

The Russian Embassy yesterday announced the passing of Mikhail Alexandrovich Kokurin, Attaché, Head of the Consular Section  on October 28, 2026.

No cause of death was given.

In a statement, the Embassy said that in two and a half years of service at the Embassy, he became a significant and valued member of the team and continually refined his diplomatic skills.

“A responsible and hard-working member of staff, he always tackled even the most complex tasks with confidence and enthusiasm, achieving his objectives whilst overcoming challenges.

Mikhail was always a considerate, polite and attentive person. Everyone could rely on him; he was always ready to help at a moment’s notice, had a keen sense of how those around him were feeling, and always found the right words to offer moral support or cheer people up with a joke”, the Embassy said.

The staff of the Embassy extended their deepest condolences to Mikhail’s family, friends and loved ones.
