The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) yesterday launched a foundation programme aimed at assisting house lot awardees in Region Three to begin construction of their homes.
Under the programme, beneficiaries will have access to foundation designs measuring 400, 600 and 950 square feet, which the ministry said are intended to provide a starting point for the construction of homes.
According to a Ministry of Housing and Water statement, the programme was launched at the Leonora Stadium and is available initially to persons who have been allocated house lots in the Leonora and Meten-Meer-Zorg housing schemes.
The ministry said the initiative is intended to provide allottees with standardised foundation options to facilitate the development of their lots and increase occupancy within housing developments.
The ministry added that the initiative will be expanded in the coming weeks to include persons who have been allocated house lots in other housing schemes across the country.
