A 33-year-old man was on Friday granted $100,000 bail after denying an armed robbery charge arising from the robbery of a Herstelling woman.
The police said that John Sampson, a self-employed resident of Congress Drive, South Ruimveldt, appeared before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court, where he was charged with robbery under arms.
It is alleged that on July 2 at Herstelling, East Bank Demerara, Sampson robbed a 30-year-old housewife.
The matter was adjourned to July 30.
