Miner arrested over Baramita murder

Police have arrested a 27-year-old pork knocker who was wanted in connection with the murder of Edward David, which occurred at Baramita, North West District, last year.

In a statement yesterday, the Guyana Police Force said that Ivor Henry, called “Ivy”, of Triangle Backdam, North West District, was apprehended at about 5.10 pm yesterday during an operation conducted by ranks from the Baramita Police Station.

According to the police, Henry had been wanted in relation to the murder of David, which occurred on August 7, 2025, at Baramita.

He remains in police custody pending the laying of charges.
