Dolphin Secondary teacher dies in accident

Tineka Hicks

A Dolphin Secondary School teacher died this morning in an accident along the Diamond Bypass Road, East Bank Demerara.

While Kiskadee Watch is unclear of the circumstances under which the accident occurred, a post on the school’s Facebook page identified the teacher as Tineka Hicks.

“We are deeply saddened by this sudden loss. Tineka was a valued member of our school family whose presence, dedication, and contributions will be greatly missed by students, staff, and all who had the privilege of knowing her,” the school said.

It added that during this difficult time, its thoughts and prayers are with the teacher’s family and loved ones.

“May they find strength, comfort, and peace in the cherished memories they shared with her,” it said.

It is understood that the teacher was a mother of two children.
