Eighteen persons living with disabilities recently received plumbing training at the Mahaica Learning Lab through a programme of the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security.
In a Facebook post, the ministry said the training was provided through its Support Services for Persons with Disabilities (SSPDU) Programme and was intended to help participants acquire skills to earn an income and become more independent.
The ministry said Minister Vindhya Persaud continued to support training opportunities for persons with disabilities to improve their prospects and those of their families.
