𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬||𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗧
The Guyana Police Force, Traffic Department wishes to advise the general public that, due to maintenance works being conducted on Thomas Street today, Monday, September 28, 2026, traffic restrictions are in effect at the Thomas Street/New Market Street intersection.
Motorists travelling east along New Market Street will be unable to turn north or south onto Thomas Street.
Additionally, motorists entering New Market Street from Camp Street and proceeding east will only be permitted to exit New Market Street via Cummings Street or East Street.
These traffic restrictions are necessary to facilitate the laying of pipelines and construction of concrete drains along Thomas Street.
Traffic ranks will be stationed at strategic points to assist with traffic management and facilitate the free flow of traffic.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution, follow the directions of traffic ranks and use alternative routes where possible.
The Guyana Police Force apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks motorists for their cooperation.
