Hubbard takes runner-up spot as Leung leads home Keep Fit highway race

Alexander Leung earned 10 points for first place.

Segun Hubbard and Devendra Sahadeo secured podium finishes behind Alexander Leung as Race Four of the Keep Fit Race Series brought an approximately 60-mile challenge to the Linden–Soesdyke Highway on Sunday, September 13.

Leung earned 10 points for first place, with Hubbard taking seven for second and Sahadeo collecting five for third. The recorded race time was 2:12.

Behind the leading three, Robin Persaud finished fourth to add three points. Andre Greene took fifth and two points, while Aaron Newton placed sixth for one point.

Organised by the Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycling Club, the event sent riders from the Glass Factory Junction towards a turning point approximately 30 miles away. The return leg ended at the Linden Highway Police Outpost.

The highway course provided the setting for the latest instalment of the 2026 series, with riders asked beforehand to come prepared for the distance. A 7:00 a.m. start had been scheduled.

Segun Hubbard leads a three-man breakaway with Alexander Leung and Devendra Sahadeo in tow.

The result placed Leung at the top of the Race Four standings, with points awarded to each of the first six finishers.
