A 41-year-old man was on Wednesday sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to obtaining money by false pretence.
David Singh, also known as ‘Dave’, of Eccles New Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, appeared before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court.
He was arrested on Sunday and charged on Wednesday.
After the charge was read to him, Singh pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment.
