The Ministry of Natural Resources says the Local Content Portal has moved to localcontent.gov.gy (https://localcontent.gov.gy), with changes intended to make it easier for Guyanese individuals and companies to apply for and manage certification online.
In a statement yesterday, the ministry said the new address replaces lcregister.petroleum.gov.gy. Existing accounts, applications and Local Content Certificates remain valid, and certificate holders do not have to reapply because of the move.
According to the ministry, applicants can now save an incomplete application and return to it later, upload or replace supporting documents, track the status of an application and respond to requests for changes. The portal also provides access to issued certificates and a record of correspondence with the Local Content Secretariat.
The ministry said certificate holders will receive email reminders when their certificates become eligible for renewal. They can also reuse relevant information from an earlier application during the renewal process and notify the Secretariat online of changes to ownership, directorship or registered address.
Members of the public can use the portal to verify certificate information, the statement added.
Existing users were advised to sign in with their current account details, while first-time applicants can create an account at the new address.
