More than $800,000 in prizes will be on offer when the Alanzo Greaves Memorial Race gets underway at the National Park on Saturday, September 26, with elite, junior, female and masters cyclists among the categories catered for.
Racing is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m., and the entry fee is $1,000. KARCC is presenting the event, which features four competition groups.
Elite riders will compete alongside juniors and masters aged 35 and over in Group Two. The programme also includes an open race, designated as Group Four.
Group One caters for juveniles, Category Four riders, masters aged 50 and over, and females. BMX and upright competitors will take part in Group Three, adding further variety to the race programme.
The competition honours the late former national champion Alanzo Greaves, with the theme “Honouring a Champion” and the message “Ride In Power” accompanying the event’s promotion.
Matrix Taxi Service, Chung’s Global Inc., Jason Rambarran and Café Sol Restaurant & Bar are sponsoring the race.
